SOBICARD is indicated for the treatment of metabolic acidosis caused by conditions such as kidney disease, uncontrolled diabetes, shock, severe dehydration, cardiac arrest, or lactic acidosis. It is also used in certain poisonings (e.g., barbiturates, salicylates, or methanol), hemolytic reactions, and severe diarrhea with bicarbonate loss, to rapidly correct dangerous blood acidity while addressing the underlying cause.
